LifeTree Coffee is a non-profit, community outreach, bistro-styled, coffee house right here in Crystal River!!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Hello.  My name is Sarah McClure. I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Crystal River’s First Presbyterian Church. My main responsibility is keeping Lifetree Coffee, in Crystal River, staffed and running smoothly. Lifetree Coffee is a non-profit organization that provides monetary assistance for multiple local charities. We support the local Veterans Homeless Shelter, our community food pantry, the Citrus County Youth Wind Symphony as well as other local charities and community outreach efforts. You may have recently read the article about us in The Citrus County Chronicle (July 1st), or heard about us from one of our recent, satisfied visitors.

LifeTree Coffee is staffed by volunteers.  Volunteers are what makes LifeTree Coffee’s community outreach possible.  We train our volunteers to serve as baristas.  If you enjoy baking at home, we are seeking volunteers to supply us with baked goods to be offered in our shop.  Youth Groups, Girl Scout/Boy Scout Troops, 4-H Clubs, Women’s Groups, Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, Lion Clubs, etc… are all invited and welcome to volunteer.

The purpose of this letter, is to introduce myself to you, and to ask if any members of your church family would be willing to volunteer to help support this worthwhile, community outreach project.  Even if they can only donate their time once or twice a week it would be greatly appreciated. High school students needing volunteer hours, or on the job training and a reference to include on a resume or application, as well as anyone who simply enjoys volunteering and being involved in community outreach, would be a tremendous blessing to this project.

Interested parties can either email me directly at sarahemcc23@gmail.com (Subject: “Lifetree Coffee”), or just come by the shop at their earliest convenience and ask for me. We are open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.  I, myself, am there from open to close Monday through Friday. If you stop by LifeTree Coffee on a Saturday, please ask for Pastor Andy and let him know you are responding to Sarah’s request for volunteers.  You can also leave me a message at the church office at (352) 795-2259 and I will return your call promptly.

Whether or not this endeavor interests you, please feel free to stop by anytime for a freshly brewed coffee, one of our real fruit smoothies, or a variety of home baked goods. I have included two attachments; our flyer and our menu, so you may copy them (1 to 2 sided to conserve paper) and share them with your congregation, neighbors, friends, businesses, organizations, etc…  If you have a newsletter or other publication, perhaps you could include a flyer to help spread the word that this is a non-profit, community outreach, bistro-styled, coffee house (right here in Crystal River).  Please help spread the word about this very worthwhile, important, community outreach project: Lifetree Coffee.  Stop by and see us!

Additionally, if there are charities that are near and dear to your heart that we should be supporting, please let us know. Thank you for your time, and God bless.

Sincerely,

Sarah McClure, Volunteer Coordinator
