Registration Open for EMT and Paramedic Classes

Registration Open for EMT and Paramedic Classes

EMT classes begin on July 26 for 16 weeks.  Paramedic classes begin on July 23 for 12 months.

Nature Coast EMS announces that registration is now open for EMT and Paramedic certification classes.  So, if you’ve been waiting for a career-opportunity in which helping people is the name of the game, these programs are for you!

The EMT program is designed to prepare students to provide basic life support measures as a member of an ambulance crew, at the scene of an accident, during transport to a hospital or medical facility, and in the medical facility. It will prepare students to sit for the Florida Bureau of EMS EMT Certification Exam. This unique program will enhance the quality of student learning and achievement outcomes through the use of human patient simulation training with a SimMan and SimBaby, a tool not available anywhere else for EMT students in Citrus County.

The Paramedic program is designed to prepare students to provide advanced life support measures as a member of an ambulance crew, at the scene of an accident, during transport to a hospital or medical facility, and in the medical facility. This program, too, utilizes the SimMan and SimBaby tools.

“We’re very blessed to have the fantastic instructors at our Academy who teach these students,” said Jane Bedford, Education Director at Nature Coast EMS.  “They’ve delivered top-quality training to close to 300 graduates since the first EMT class began in 2010. The most exciting thing is, though, that due to our exceptional educational experience, our graduates have a 100% placement rate.”

EMT classes begin on July 26 for 16 weeks.  Paramedic classes begin on July 23 for 12 months.
