The 2023 Hurricane season begins June 1st!
Join Heather Jennings this Saturday for the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office ALL HAZARDS EXPO, at the Citrus County Auditorium in Inverness. Presented by CCSO’s Emergency Management Division, this event will provide just about everything you need to know to be ready. There will be educational booths and presentations on how citizens can prepare for hazards, including severe weather and health needs, plus information on weather preparedness, medical and special needs, fire safety, and transit.
The event features response vehicles and a drone demo from CCSO Emergency Management, Community, The Community Emergency Response Team Trailer, Citrus County Transit bus, scent tracking dogs and handlers with tracking demos, a Florida Highway Patrol – Rollover simulator, the PubSafe ATV, Salvation Army Mobile Canteen, and Citrus Hearing Impaired Program Services will provide interpreter services for the deaf or those with hearing impairments.
